To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who seeks to obtain a loan.
What this means for you: During due diligence performed for purposes of evaluating whether your loan meets our underwriting criteria, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also request your driver’s license or other identifying documents. We will maintain this information in accordance with the Security of your Personal Information section, below.
For purposes of this Policy, unless noted otherwise, when we use the term “personal information,” we mean information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular person or household (“personal information”). Personal information” does not include: (i) publicly available information from government records or (ii) de-identified or aggregated consumer information.
First Commercial Finance may collect the following personal information:
- Personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number.
- Anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.
- Information to fulfill our business obligations to customers of First Commercial Finance, including your credit history, credit score, account balance, loan balance, payment history, as well as sensitive personal information such as your social security number and driver’s license.
- Information collected when you register or update an online profile, which may include personal data such as your name and contact details.
- The content of electronic forms you submit via the Website, requesting us to provide services or information.
There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by First Commercial Finance.
